38f Notes:
--Sorry no set list, any help will be great.....
--I got those rare cd's many years ago, so i don't know from which generation is the original tape....is it a really good audience recording, i'll post a couple of sound samples.....
--The line-up does not need any further comment, the music is a great mixture of blues, rock, jam band sound and west coast jazzy rock.....
--Performances of high noon are really rare so i thought was a nice thing to share this.
vg NOTES (2024-03-19):
--Mucho Thanks to whomever originally recorded & shared out this High Noon 1981 show & to 38f for spreading his copy of it far & wide. Absolutely Appreciated!!
--Thanks also to LL user RowJimmy for his sharing of what he found of the setlist
--I added more & corrected detail to the band members info
--I did a deep dive on this, combing thru it & researching & correcting a bunch of the song titles toward how they appear on their original albums & even discovered & uncovered the title of the unknown Tunisian tune in t08 (don't ask me how!!)...also, somehow discovered the title of t11, which was previously simply listed as "Jam" ("Puerto De Azul" is a Norton Buffalo instrumental, as it turns out, from his 1977 album "Lovin' In the Valley Of the Moon")
--if anyone out there knows any of the titles of t02, t12 & t17, won't you please chime in & let us all know?? I tried so hard to find these, but had to throw in the towel & move on with my life--hahaha!!
--this venue no longer exists...it was originally a Purity Market, then starting in the late 1960s a Natural Food store, then it was transformed into a German restaurant called the "Zinzannati Oom Pah Pah Lounge"...then from the early 1970s until late 1976, it was a club named "Sophie's" (where Jerry Garcia did play)...it opened as "Keystone Palo Alto" on 1977-01-20 & closed its doors on 1986-07-06...it then became a club called "Vortex" until 1989 & then became "The Edge" (1989-2000)...in 2000 it was made into a restaurant & nightclub named "Illusions"...the building was demolished in October 2013
